It’s an evergreen, rhizomatous perennial with smooth, shiny leaves that grow directly from the ground. The leaves are pinnately compound, with 6-8 pairs of elliptic, glossy green leaflets.

Origin:
Zamioculcas zamiifolia originated in Tanzania, particularly Zanzibar, and grows across central Africa and the east coast.
Air Purification:
Studies, including those by NASA, suggest that ZZ plants are effective in removing airborne toxins like formaldehyde, benzene, and xylene, contributing to cleaner indoor air.
Symbolism:
In Vastu Shastra and Feng Shui, the ZZ plant is associated with good fortune, luck, and unity.
