Appearance:
It’s a broadleaf evergreen shrub or small tree, popular as a houseplant due to its striking, often multi-colored foliage, which can range from shades of pink, green, purple, to deep red depending on the cultivar.

Care:
Cordyline fruticosa thrives in bright, sunny spots or light to moderate shade and prefers high humidity.

Watering:
It prefers less frequent watering and more misting, and can be susceptible to fungal leaf spot if leaves are consistently wet, so watering from the soil level is recommended.

Toxicity:
While not poisonous to humans or cats, the saponins it contains are mildly toxic to dogs.
